Clinical – Medical Assistant

Join a well-established clinical setting in the region as a Medical Assistant, supporting both the front and back office operations. Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, establishing a welcoming environment
• Schedule appointments and answer questions via phone or in person
• Take vital signs and record patient information accurately
• Draw blood and administer vaccines as needed
• Assist with clinical procedures and support health education initiatives
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace
• Collaborate effectively with physician assistants, physicians, and other staff to deliver comprehensive patient care

Required Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience, including externship
• Certification as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture skills required
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems essential
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in basic computer skills necessary

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare outreach programs such as smoking cessation, weight management, and diabetes management is a plus
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings and early afternoons
• Experience working with diverse age groups, particularly patients aged 3 and over
• Experience in wellness programs and pre-employment physicals is advantageous
• Schedule availability during the anticipated shifts and dates, with particular coverage needed on specified days
• Willingness to uphold health and safety protocols, including drug testing and physical examinations when applicable
