Job Description

About Speakeasy

Speakeasy is the vertical operating system & commerce platform powering live experience businesses, spanning independent venues, hospitality groups, event organizers, and live music festivals. Our partners include TAO Group Hospitality, Breakaway Music Festival, Cipriani, Fontainebleau Development, E11EVEN, Framework LA, Off Grid @ F1, and many more.

By centralizing critical workflows across guest intelligence, commerce, and guest management, we are able to build deeply alongside our leading enterprise clients and enable them to operate more efficiently, freeing up resources and enabling reinvestment into what matters most: the experience. We maintain a bold focus on building beautiful, cutting-edge products that work seamlessly in tandem, driving increased data collection, revenue, operational efficiency, and intelligence.

Founded out of the University of Chicago, Speakeasy closed its Seed round in Q2 and has grown revenue more than 500% year over year, backed by investors including Positive Sum and Yamaha Music Innovations Fund. We're a lean, fast-moving team with a new HQ in New York's Flatiron district.

Role Description

This is a full-time, in-person Full Stack Software Engineer role in New York, NY. You'll ship to production on Day 1 within a high-touch, autonomous environment. You'll design, build, and maintain the web and IOS applications that power Speakeasy's platform, helping us aggressively expand our B2B offerings and further build out our agentic product suite. Day-to-day, that means developing front-end interfaces, implementing and optimizing back-end services and APIs, integrating data sources, and collaborating closely with product and design to deliver user-focused features. You'll write clean, testable code, review your teammates' work, troubleshoot production issues, and weigh in on architectural decisions that support scalability, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

  • Strong full-stack development skills, with experience building modern web applications from concept to deployment
  • Strong native iOS development experience, including building and maintaining production applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and/or UIKit
  • Proficiency in front-end development, including JavaScript frameworks and CSS for responsive, accessible user interfaces
  • Experience in back-end web development, including designing APIs, managing data persistence, and optimizing application performance
  • Solid understanding of web and mobile application standards, security best practices, and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with modern development workflows, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines across web and mobile environments
  • Comfort with autonomy and ownership - you can drive projects independently while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical partners
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; experience in SaaS, commerce, or data-driven platforms is a plus
